POLICE verb admitted they acted wrongly during an operation to catch gay men having sex in general toilets.

Officers set up spy cameras in a convenience in Fresh Brighton last year after attendants reported concerns about the behaviour of some men using it.

After a series of high-visibility patrols, police hid the two tiny cameras in the urinal area of the toilets, one at head and one at waist height.

Cameras were also set up outside the Harrison Drive block to detect car registration numbers.

Police caught offences taking place in just three months and 40 men were arrested, causing outrage among the gay community because many of those arrested were not openly homosexual.

Man arrested for recording man using urinal at Woodhaven bowling alley

WOODHAVEN, Mich. (FOX 2) - Woodhaven police said a man who was wanted for using his cell phone to record men going to the restroom inside a bowling alley has been arrested.

Ryan Dustin Gaynier, 36, is accused by Woodhaven Police of being a video voyeur who recorded men using the restroom inside the Woodhaven Bowl-a-rama. Police said they found different video clips on his phone.

"You would expect privacy, even in a public bathroom," said Woodhaven Police Chief Robert Toth. "It's certainly a large-scale of invasion of privacy."

It started on December 14 when a man was using the restroom inside the bowling alley on Horn Road and noticed a man using a cell phone to take photos and videos of him urinating.

The man alerted staff and the general manager said they called the cops while the dude hid in the stall. He got out of the stall but was pointed out in the crowd by the male and identified as Gaynier. But he maintained his innocence.

Microchips could be installed in urinals to spy on your wee, a minister has suggested.

It might sound bizarre, but it could ease pressure on the NHS by identifying potential diseases in people’s urine.

Health secretary Steve Barclay compared the toilet plan to sharing information on Facebook or Instagram.

Speaking at the Spectator Health conference, he said: ‘I think if patients want to be fit to get early treatment and are therefore willing to lean on their data, providing that can be done in the right way with the right safeguards that is the conversation we should be having.’

Many illnesses can be identified through urine such as kidney problems and sexually transmitted diseases.
