If you had your queer awakening watching the Barden Bellas in Pitch Perfect, you are not alone. In fact, stars Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp revealed in a recent interview with Pride that “all the Bellas are gay now”.
Ahead of their new summer film Bride Hard, Rebel and Anna both spoke about their experience with sexuality. Anna, who came out in February this year, spoke about the reaction from the LGBTQIA+ community with warmth.
Its been really wonderful to be so welcomed and so supported, especially by my really beautiful [and] wonderful friend [Rebel] here. Life is an evolution and Im very happy where I am today.”
Earlier this year, Anna hard-launched her relationship with stylist Jade Whipkey. Since then, fans have adored seeing this pairs couple content, most recently Jade’s post for Anna which read: “You are the easiest person to celebrate and the sweetest to love.”

Rebel Wilson says it's 'total nonsense' that only gay actors should portray gay characters
Rebel Wilson is sounding off on the always hot-button topic in Hollywood of whether your gender or sexual representation should dictate the characters you play on screen.
In the latest episode of BBC's Desert Island Discs, she said it was "total nonsense" to think that gay actors can only play gay characters.
The topic came up early in the episode when host Lauren Laverne asked the "Pitch Perfect" star if she felt there was a different standard for the kinds of jokes women comics make versus men.
"I don't verb there's a different standard, it's more this thing that if you are something, you are now allowed to joke about it," Wilson said at the mark. "If you are overweight, you can say [those] jokes."
Laverne then asked if that was a good thing.

In a new interview on BBC Radio 4s Desert Island Discs (via The Guardian), the Pitch Perfect star brought up the topic when host Lauren Laverne asked if she felt there was a different standard with the kinds of jokes women comedians can make compared to men.
I don’t assume there’s a different standard, it’s more this thing about, if you are something then now you’re allowed to joke about it, she said. So utter, if you are overweight, you can say jokes. But if you’re not [you can’t] that’s kind of what’s currently happening.
